Who are we inviting?
We have invited a variety of community leaders and organizers in progressive social movement spaces and healing spaces, from organizations such as Nuns & Nones, Center for the Working Poor, CAC, the AYNI Institute, and many others. We are also inviting 12-step elders and fellows in our interspiritual communities who hold similar values and are grappling with similar questions. And lastly, folks who may already be longing for a community like this!
What is the orientation training going to look like?
We have assessed through teaching this program that participants need more orientation in order to make a commitment to working a program of recovery. We realized we needed to create a training to both initiate people into the program and for people to see the power of the 12 steps. We are recruiting for a primary group to go through the training and we believe you are a leader in our community and we want to get your feedback. The training will take place over 3 days with two full days of programming and one half day. We are expecting between 12-30 participants to attend.
What happens after the orientation training?
In the near future, there will be opportunities to attend online, virtual meetings and seed local 12 Step for Everyone meetings. More details will be discussed at the training.
